The Day My Life Changed

What Happened:

It's funny they say you don't remember a traumatic event, well I remember! (Yes I know compared to some my event is not horrible but for me it has been)

Feb 10th started off as a normal Friday. I went to work as normal, taught an aerobic class and went to Wal-Mart. After being in Wal-Mart approximately 20 min and standing in a VERY long line my calf muscles begin to burn on both legs. Of course when you workout as much as I do you go through shoes pretty frequently, with this in mind I figured that I just needed new shoes. The pain and burning got so bad...I took them off. After checking out I hobbled to my car.

I took my passenger by Wendy's (which we did every Friday after class). At this point I still felt a little pain in my legs but overall just felt weird. With driving 3/4 mi from the drive through while eating a french fry (healthy right?😏) my jaw locked up. I was completely unable to move it. I tried to keep a calm face even though I was freaked out I didn't want my passenger to be alarmed.  Being so close to my destination I thought it was best to continue our trip. At least this way I would be closer to my family and off of the road. I was 1/2mi away from help.....

1/2 mile from my destination my right leg caught a severe cramp! Starting at my toes and going up to my calf my muscles were extremely tight!! All I could think about was my passenger and not running off the road. We made it to our destination and I sent my passenger in the house and my mom came out. My right leg stayed cramped for 45 min and my left leg begin to get tight. My right leg eased up and I walked into the house. My leg was so sore from the cramp I  could barely walk. I was able to sit with my family and hold my self together even though I was in agonizing pain.  Eventually both legs loosened up and I drove home and walked into my house with no problem.

How I felt:
What the crap is going on??? I was terrified while driving that I was going to run off the road and I would get harmed and harm my passenger. Would this happen again and make me not able to walk? Thank you God that you spared us!  I Pray it's over now!

OMG! OMG! OMG! 5-1

Note: Start at "The Why" What Happened: Today was an ok day. I worked all day chasing after clients. I taught one fitness class that uses equipment that I have to grip and hit. The pain usually comes when I hit the equipment together so I have learned to hold my left pointer finger up instead of allowing it to grip with the others. The pain is a radiating vibrating pain that goes down my finger. It is excruciating, but I have learned to adapt. In this class we also sit on the ground which is becoming harder and harder. I now have severe pain in my hips and back when sitting down. But I made it through the day! The class! and now its time for another class that requires more equipment, heavy equipment like big tractor tires and  such. Well I loaded all 4 tires, plus heavy weighted bars and various other equipment. Got to the location feeling ok so I moved the 30 plus chairs and 8 tables that needed to be moved. Luckily my friend, my right hand woman in class showed up and h...

Flexeril helped but now....

Note: Start reading at "The Why" What happened: The flexeril that the emergency doctor prescribed me his helping. It helped me relax my muscles. I haven't cramped up in a few days. Thank God! It left me with extreme burning and numbness in my feet and hands. Pain in my lower legs and across my right thigh. My arms are weak and I get tired very quickly. What is going on man??? UGH! My feet are so swollen and have a hot sensation sometimes  I have to take off my shoes for relief. I am only wearing tennis shoes and socks because that is the only shoe that doesn't leave some of my skin exposed. The air hurts. My feet are on fire but my bones feel ice cold. I use heat warmers for the sock/feet to help. The second time they left warps on my feet.  It hurts to drive and push the gas. So I alternate between right and left leg leading. Luckily I have had a bunch of knee surgeries so I am confident in my left leg driving. LOL.  My hands feel like they are 80 years old. My fi...

A Village

Note: Start reading at "The Why" What Happened: Today I ask 6 friends to pray and fast with me for a healing. The bible says when two or more are together that God is there. I need God to be here. I need Him to heal my body. I am at a loss and my body is shutting down quickly. Every step is like fire, hot sand and blisters but my bones get so cold. I hate walking. But I will not quit. I have thought about a wheelchair or crutches just to have relief. Some relief would be so nice right now. But I can walk so I will. My work load has increased drastically and it is so painful.  I think about calling in every morning. But bills wont get paid that way. I can do it. I just have to will myself. My support group will help. I am so thankful that I have friends that will be there an pray with and for me. How I felt: hopeful.
