Keep Pushing

Note: Start reading at "The Why"

Just to get everyone caught up:

Symptoms:
Severe: burning in feet, pain in feet when I walk, splint like feeling on legs (as if I have on a brace),          shooting pain to hip from feet, hip and lower back pain, burning in fingertips (like blisters)
Less Severe: Pain in shoulders and arms, numbing in face on occasion and dull pain in fingers,                wrist and forearm. I feel like my muscles are not recuperating
New: sensitive skin, pain in hands, pain in thighs, shoulders and across my chest when I move,                peeling like feeling under my toes (like the being in the pool or tub too long and your skin                    splits)

 What Happened:
Today I taught 3 fitness classes and went to work. I also did a round of my boot camp class. A real workout. My first one in months... I knew I was going to be in pain but I wasn't expecting this. I am soooo sore. Sore to the touch! HAHAHA literally. It hurts to touch and to be touched. The post tonight is not going to be long because my finger tips are on fire. Today was a good day though. I got all of my water gallon in and I feel pretty good emotionally and mentally. It has been a very long day though and I am extremely tired and hurting. I cant wait to sleep. Oh yeah, I got in a test result (1 out of 1000) saying my vitamin D level is 20 out of the possible 100, 30 is the lowest they like for you to be before your body stars having negative side effects such as fatigue, muscle weakness and joint pain....hmm! The nurse made the comment "you have the levels of a 75 year old man on  chemo" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 wait what??? How is that even possible? Lol what happened on Feb 10 that change my levels from a 31 year old vibrant female to a 75 year old man. After doing a little reading I did see that his is actually common among African Americans and Latinos. So I am taking 5000mg of Vitamin D once a week.

How I felt:
In pain but hopeful that the vitamin will work and I will begin to feel better immediately.

Bang Dem Sticks

Note: Start at "The Why" What Happened: I teach a class called Pound. It is amazing class with drumsticks that you bang together and lots of movement up and down, on the ground, back and forth. It is an amazing full body workout that I absolutely love. Today's class was horrible! Absolutely horrible! I went to hit my sticks together and my pointer finger radiated with pain. I dropped my sticks (which very rarely happens to me). I kept teaching but let go of my left stick. When we got down to the ground my hip area hurt so bad that I could barely sit, much less move side to side. I was in so much pain throughout the class. I managed to smile through the class but I just wanted to cry. But there are people to help get fit and no time or crying. My fingers also feel like I have blisters on them when I text or use them to type. And without texting you cant post to FB, IG, or talk to friends. I do all of the above a lot. Today was a very quiet day. How I felt: Scared. Wi...

OMG! OMG! OMG! 5-1

Note: Start at "The Why" What Happened: Today was an ok day. I worked all day chasing after clients. I taught one fitness class that uses equipment that I have to grip and hit. The pain usually comes when I hit the equipment together so I have learned to hold my left pointer finger up instead of allowing it to grip with the others. The pain is a radiating vibrating pain that goes down my finger. It is excruciating, but I have learned to adapt. In this class we also sit on the ground which is becoming harder and harder. I now have severe pain in my hips and back when sitting down. But I made it through the day! The class! and now its time for another class that requires more equipment, heavy equipment like big tractor tires and  such. Well I loaded all 4 tires, plus heavy weighted bars and various other equipment. Got to the location feeling ok so I moved the 30 plus chairs and 8 tables that needed to be moved. Luckily my friend, my right hand woman in class showed up and h...

The Day My Life Changed

What Happened: It's funny they say you don't remember a traumatic event, well I remember! (Yes I know compared to some my event is not horrible but for me it has been) Feb 10th started off as a normal Friday. I went to work as normal, taught an aerobic class and went to Wal-Mart. After being in Wal-Mart approximately 20 min and standing in a VERY long line my calf muscles begin to burn on both legs. Of course when you workout as much as I do you go through shoes pretty frequently, with this in mind I figured that I just needed new shoes. The pain and burning got so bad...I took them off. After checking out I hobbled to my car. I took my passenger by Wendy's (which we did every Friday after class). At this point I still felt a little pain in my legs but overall just felt weird. With driving 3/4 mi from the drive through while eating a french fry (healthy right?😏) my jaw locked up. I was completely unable to move it. I tried to keep a calm face even though I was freake...
